Right now, the Ontario Power Authority is encouraging homeowners, businesses, farmers, and institutions etc., to sign up for their microFIT program as part of Canada's largest climate change initiative which includes phasing out polluting coal burning power plants by 2014. The microFIT program is a means for you to sell electricity back to the grid from your roof top or ground mounted solar panels with a guaranteed 20 year contract. You could earn about $200 to $1000 per month or more depending on the amount of solar panels you install.

The Master Electrician is the keystone of every solar project. It is their responsibility to handle all components and electrical interfaces while ensuring compatibility, efficiency, compliance, and safety. They oversee communication and scheduling with the utilities, the Ontario Power Authority, and the Electrical Safety Authority.
